The two-day sale will be a great time to stock up on everything from daily essentials to big ticket items but it can feel a little overwhelming to try and decipher the deals that are worth shopping, as well as how best to bag the biggest discount.

Fortunately, there are a few tips and tricks that you can use to maximise the Amazon sale event and come away with some bargain buys. Here are some helpful pointers to get the most out of your Amazon 2024 Prime Day shopping.

To ensure you get the best deals you’ll need to make sure you have an Amazon Prime membership. If you don’t already have one it’s well worth making an account ahead of time. Sign up here to get a free 30-day trial.

On Prime Day sales come and go quickly. Prime members can receive deal-alert notifications related to their recent Amazon searches and recently viewed items.

Set up your deal notifications by visiting the Prime Day event page on the Amazon app ahead of July 17. Once the event begins, members will only receive alerts on available deals they’ve subscribed to.

Camelcamelcamel is a free price tracking tool that shoppers can use to view a product’s price history on Amazon. For example, if you wanted to buy a certain air fyer and it’s listed for £80 on Amazon, you might not be sure if this is a good deal or not.

Through the price tracker, you can check the item’s average list price over the last few months to make an informed purchasing decision.

The Amazon app makes it easier to track and discover deals. You can also check on your order status and get access to customer support should you have any problems.

Ahead of Amazon Prime Day, the online retailer are offering early deals across technology, clothing, beauty, garden and more. Amazon aren’t the only brand to have a summer sale – save up to £90 on Ninja appliances here and stock up your wardrobe for less in the White Stuff sale.
