A waitress has boldly said ‘I’d shout at misbehaving kids again’ after she raised her voice at some rowdy children in a restaurant. People often grumble about loud kids, like when babies cry on planes or when kids are noisy in restaurants.

But not everyone is bothered by this.

One waitress, who was working a busy shift, got into trouble for shouting at kids who were being naughty in the eatery where she works. The kids were causing chaos and nearly made her spill hot drinks!

The parents weren’t pleased at all.

A big family with five kids came to eat lunch, and the children started running around and playing. They almost bumped into the waitress while she was carrying hot drinks, which could have hurt her, the kids, or other people eating there.

A big family with five kids came to eat lunch, and the children started running around and playing. They almost bumped into the waitress while she was carrying hot drinks, which could have hurt her, the kids, or other people eating there.

The waitress, named Sarah, told her story on Reddit. She said: “These kids had been running riot, screaming and yelling and playing what I think was tag. I was carrying a large tray of hot drinks when one of the kids goes whirring past me.”

A waitress lost her cool after tolerating unruly behaviour from some children for a long time. She wrote on social media: “The parents hadn’t said anything at this point even though their kids had been running around for the past 30 minutes, one of them had already started throwing a fit and trying to undress themselves.”

She was not happy with the situation.

She added: “I shouted at the kids and told them they need to either sit down at their table and shut up, or stay outside where they can’t get hurt by running into us with our hot drinks. I understand I could have been more polite, but there were about 100 people in the restaurant at this point and they had nearly crashed into me with boiling pots of tea.”

However, the parents weren’t happy with her reaction. They complained to her boss and the child who was scolded started crying.

She continued: “They wanted me fired for quote ‘trying to discipline their kids’. I get what I said wasn’t good but at least it stopped their kid from getting third-degree burns from a pot of tea.”

The server also explained that she wasn’t the only one to warn the family.

Another person agreed and said: “You did nothing wrong except for having too much patience. Your manager, the parents and the kids all need to be spanked.”

Someone else added: “When are such parents going to be more responsible and be able to discipline their children when in public? ! It’s not hard. You did the right thing.”

But not everyone thought Sarah did the right thing by getting mad at a kid. A different person wrote: “You should have said something to the parents, or asked your manager to do so before you reached the boiling point.”

Another advised: “My point is best to bite your tongue these days.”
